Position Overview

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving the growth of PMI DFW Properties through new client acquisition, strategic partnerships, networking, portfolio acquisitions, and business development initiatives.

This is a high-impact sales and business development position for someone who enjoys building relationships, identifying opportunities, and converting prospects into long-term clients.

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, professional relationship builder who is comfortable networking, prospecting, making cold calls, conducting presentations, and developing creative strategies to generate new business.

Primary Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

  • Develop and execute strategies to acquire new property management clients and increase managed doors.
  • Generate leads through networking, referrals, cold calling, direct mail, email campaigns, social media, events, and other marketing channels.
  • Identify property owners and investors who may benefit from professional property management services.
  • Conduct prospect consultations, property management presentations, and sales follow-up.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and consistently move prospects through the sales process.
  • Track all leads, prospects, activities, and opportunities within the company’s designated CRM and software platforms.
  • Develop referral relationships with Realtors, brokers, lenders, title companies, attorneys, contractors, insurance professionals, investors, and other strategic partners.

Portfolio & Acquisition Opportunities

  • Identify opportunities to acquire existing property management companies and management portfolios.
  • Establish relationships with property management company owners who may be interested in selling, merging, partnering, or referring their portfolios.
  • Assist with due diligence, negotiations, client communications, and onboarding when acquiring larger portfolios.
  • Identify opportunities to expand PMI DFW Properties into new business segments and geographic markets.

Networking & Brand Development

  • Represent PMI DFW Properties professionally throughout the DFW real estate community.
  • Maintain an active presence at BNI, REIA, Realtor organizations, investor meetings, conferences, and other networking events.
  • Develop and maintain strategic referral partnerships.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining the company’s social media and online presence.
  • Participate in community and industry events that increase PMI’s visibility and generate business opportunities.

Sales Training & Professional Development

  • Participate in PMI Grow, a structured 12-week sales training program focused on:
  • Prospecting and lead generation
  • Sales strategy
  • CRM utilization
  • Relationship development
  • Networking
  • Sales presentations
  • Follow-up and closing techniques
  • Business development strategy

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Active Texas Real Estate License preferred/required, with sponsorship by PMI DFW Properties.
  • Proven sales, business development, real estate, property management, or related experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building abilities.
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, and results-oriented.
  • Comfortable making cold calls and conducting sales presentations.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Proficiency with web-based software, CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and other technology platforms.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout the DFW area.
  • Reliable computer, mobile phone, and internet access for remote work.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development.
